In partnership with the University of South Wales, our second site is equipped with a 38kW solar array supported by our partnership with Lightsource BP. The plant utilises a hydrogen electrolyser powered by the proprietary HyWaves power management and control system. It is also home to the development of the upcoming HyWaves Battery Integration architecture in development which aims to lower the cost of energy storage systems paired with renewable energy.
The site in South Wales serves as a hub for testing how our system can integrate into both industrial and local energy applications, with a focus on demonstrating its feasibility for wider adoption in industrial sectors that require large-scale hydrogen production, including maritime use. It is strategically positioned in the South Wales Hydrogen Cluster that will strengthen the economic resilience of industry in the region by promoting sustainable development. The South Wales pilot plant allows us to further enhance our understanding of scaling our technology especially in industrial applications.
