HyWaves recently took a trip to attend the Green Hydrogen Summit Oman. Being one of the highest solar irradiance areas in the world with big ambitions for hydrogen, it is certainly near the top of regions that could benefit most from our technology. Whilst there, our CEO Dr Thomas Delaney met some key industry contacts and local government officials, including being asked to feature on a local news channel that can be seen below:
It was refreshing to see the positivity about hydrogen here and how Oman plans to be the biggest producer in the Middle East, supplying not just its local industries but also globally.
The world’s first liquid hydrogen corridor from the Port of Duqm to the Port of Amsterdam has been agreed by the two countries, with the hydrogen being produced from large scale solar ☀️
Having large areas of land and one of the highest solar irradiances in the world makes it a key HyWaves market, benefiting projects that want to reduce Capex cost of power electronics.
